u 1 Wealth By The Billions Tears Farm Products Worth 7 778000000 Washington December 14th After twelve years of service as head of the Department the Secretary of Agricul ture in his twelfth annual report to the President issued today renders a com prehensive account of his stewardship and presents a review of the progress of agriculture in the United States during this period Concerning the farm pro duction of 1908 he says that the farmer has created wealth by the billions Pro duction has been above the average of recent years with few exceptions and while some prices have fallen others have risen The farm value of all farm products ot 1908 reaches the most extraordinary total in the nations history7778000000 This is about four times the value of the products of the mines including mineral oils and precious metals The gain in value of farm products in 1908 over 1907 is 290000000 and would have been much larger had not the prices of cotton and hay been low Greatest of all crops is Indian corn whose production this year is 2543090000 bushels The value of this crop is 1015000000 It seems likely that the cotton crop is one

Company organizational diagrammatic map drawn in the form of a branching tree that identifies in its branches all of the functional offices of the railroad by name. Shows railroad trackage branches as straight lines radiating from the central office of the "Gen'l Sup't". The branches extend from New York (State) westward thru northern New Jersey and northern Pennsylvania to Lake Erie. "Published by permission." Dixon Mrs A C Paul and daugh ters attended the wedding of her niece in Missoula Saturday Mr and Mrs Gene Pitts and family attended the Great Falls fair last week Mrs Tom Carter of Spokane Babe Ruths have B2 season In its final game of the sea son the Mission Babe Ruth team won over Dixon by a 133 score Tom Orr with a single and a double drove in three runs while Gary Blackman with a homerun drove in two runs The locals ended with an 82 record for the season New records were made by Gary Blackman in the R 81 department as he knocked in 21 to break a record that had stood since 1957 Gary also set a rec ord with three homeruns and by striking out 57 opponents knock ed the old record of 46 set by Merle Matt in 1955 by the way side Gary tied with Alvin Mc Lure for the record of hitting six doubles Steve Atkin swiped 17 bases to establish a new record in that department Missing from Next years team will be Gary Black man Gene Sorrell Raymond Cordier and Larry Bicha The final statistics are as fol
