Hancock Voters Seek Reversal In High Court JACKSON UPIAn attorney for a group of Hancock County voters hias asked the Mississippi Supreme Court to overrule a Chancery Court decision and re turn the states first county voter redistricting case for trial Attorney Upton Sission of Gulf port appealed to the high court to reverse a ruling by Chancellor William Hews at Bay St Louis which sustained a general demur rer by the defense dismissing the case The suit filed last Feb 13 by Powell Glass Jr of Bay St Louis and a group of Hancock residents as a class action asked that the county election commission be en joined from holding a further elec I tion for supervisor until redistrict ing had been accomplished The court took the matter under advisement The suit complained that one of the countys five beats had been virtually annihilated by the federal governments purchase of land for the space vehicle test site center in Hancock and Pearl River coun ties It claimed that the county had not been redistricted in more than 100 years and said that efforts to __ I IP ASTORALL PURPOS K I BLEACH wow Baby Food Ss 6 r 49
