LETTER FROM FLORIDA r The Hotel Royal I oinciana Maine Per sonals etc Special correspondence of The Journal Palm Beach Fla March 121905 One of the first questions which the visitor to Palm Beach asks and one that is never tiring to the traveler is that as to the size and dimensions of the Hotel Royal Poinciana and it may surprise some of my northern friends to learn of the size of this enormous hostelry The usual questions are How many will it accommodate How long is the building How many rooms does it contain In reply were most interesting The exhibits in fruit and vegetable lines were as fine as it was possible to have them and while Florida has been visited by a severe freeze they did not seem to be materi ally affected One of the largest catches of Spanish mackerel made here in a long time was that of yesterday when the fishermen who were out with nets captured a school in which there were thousands and they were dragged to the shore by the barrel Just previous to this catch a large ninefoot shark had been killed and pulled out on the shore and the
