In the Senate of the United States. May 4, 1886. -- Ordered to be printed. Mr. Sawyer, from the Committee on Pensions, submitted the following report. (To accompany Bill S. 2183.) The Committee on Pensions, to whom was referred the Bill (S. 2183) granting a pension to Hiram R. Ellis, have examined the same and report that the records in this case show that claimant enlisted as a sergeant in Company I, Fifth Michigan Cavalry, August 19, 1862, and was discharged June 5, 1866
