Maines Vital Statistics 16003 Children Born in 1905 i6f Twin Births and One Triple Birth Three Men and One Woman Martied the Filth Time lr A G Young registrar of vital statistics tuts submitted bis last annual report that tor 1905 The number of children born in the State in 1905 was 10005 of which 15294 were living and 11 stillbirths Of the living children of which the sex was certified 7794 were males and 7483 females For each 100 girls born there were 1041 boys The birth rate in the cities per 1000 population was 2058 as compared with 2182 the birth rate of the rest of the State As it has invariably been since regis tration beguu in the State the birth rate was the highest in Aroostook county 3400 and the lowest in Waldo 1452 Of the total births 0008 per cent were of native parents 2079 of foreign parentage and 1799 of parents one of whom was foreign Lincoln county had the largest percentage of nativeborn parents 9101 per cent and only 058 percent in which both parents were foreign born High percentages of foreign horn parents were found in Androscoggin county 3960 and in York

Company organizational diagrammatic map drawn in the form of a branching tree that identifies in its branches all of the functional offices of the railroad by name. Shows railroad trackage branches as straight lines radiating from the central office of the "Gen'l Sup't". The branches extend from New York (State) westward thru northern New Jersey and northern Pennsylvania to Lake Erie. "Published by permission." Exports of Raisins From the United States Washington D C Nov 27 1911 More than one million dollars worth of raisins were exported from the United States in the last fiscal year the quanti ty 18 12 million pounds being tar in ex cess of the total exported in any earlier year The imports during the year amounted to only 2 12 million pounds against 10 million pounds in 1900 and as high as 50 million pounds in certain years prior to the development of production in the United States Comparing 1911 with 1900 the figures of the Bureau of Statistics Department of Commerce and Labor show that exports grew from 2 12 million pounds to over 18 12 million pounds and their value from 140000 to 1069000 During the same period im ports of raisins fell from 10 13 million pounds in 1900 to 2 12 million in 1911 and their value from 531000 to 237 lW 1I1C laigcot CApui IU11U1I un iuioiuh recorded in any year prior to 1911 was that of 1907 a little over 9 million pounds or less than half that of 1911 while the largest importation of raisins on record is that of 1884
