Through photos, this documentation captures the remaining structures, streetscapes, and landmarks, showcasing the resilience of these historic neighborhoods amid challenges like development pressures, city-led demolitions under the 3000-square-foot rule, disinvestment, redlining, gentrification, and fires. This visual record preserves the community’s legacy, helping present and future generations understand the neighborhood’s enduring presence and spirit despite the odds, while underscoring the importance of continued preservation efforts.
