Map of the South Carolina tidewater area between Charleston and Savannah, Ga. "The red line represents the located line; the blue lines represent some of the principal experimental lines." Chartered December 20, 1853. Reorganized in 1866 as the Savannah and Charleston Railroad.
Covers Maryland, eastern Virginia, Delmarva Peninsula, and southeastern Pennsylvania. Relief shown by hachures. Also shows shipping routes in Chesapeake Bay. "Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1881 by G.W. & C.B. Colton & Co. in the Office of the Librarian of Congress in Washington." Hand col. in red to show Southern Maryland R.R. and in blue to show connecting lines and shipping routes.
