Indicates the railroad land grant and the coal and iron deposits in Alabama. Distances from Washington, D.C., to New Orleans, La. are shown below the title. Chartered in 1853 and 1854. Consolidated with the Wills Valley Railroad, forming the Alabama and Chattanooga Railroad.
On tracing cloth, with roads in red, rivers in blue, and railroads, villages, churches, houses, and names of residents in black, and some annotations and emendments in pencil.
