OXBERRY ITEMS Mr and Mrs Wade Smith left Sunday afternoon to go to Mr J M Smiths so Mrs Smith could nurse her mother Perry son of Mr and Mrs Jim Hudson Jr is very sick at present but we hope he will soon be well Messrs Archie and Herman Massey were guests at Mr Henry Yarbroughs Sunday Mr Albert Massey was a guest Mr Benton J Madden Sunday As a car load of logs was crossing the bridge across Tipno the trussel broke in All cars fell in but there was no one hurt Mr and Mrs Lewis Cunninghams little twoyear old baby died Wednes day and was buried Thursday Lay conducted the funeral services at Bethel cemetery Mr and Mrs Robert Massey and family spent a pleasant visi at the Misses Musselwhites home Sunday Mr and Mrs Edd Massey guests of Mr and Mrs Jim Hudson Sr Sunday Mr and Mrs Chester their parents home Wade Smith for Greenville They were going home after a weeks visit in Oxberry community Last Tuesday night the members ordained Messrs Robert Massey and Walter Philip deacons and ordained Pro Leroy Sellers into the ministry He made his opening sermon Satur day

HUES CITY KEEPS OPEN BOOST FOR SCRIBES The newspaper men of northern Montana who were fortunate enough to attend the recent State Press asso ciation convenion at Miles City got a new angle on the metropolis of the Powder River country They went down there with the impression that Milestown was the place of the last stand of the cowman accustomed to living in the raw They expected an outing on the frontier with all its red blooded riotness In this they were disappointed They found Milestown one of the robust cities of the state the home of 10000 happy and prosperous peo ple The only evidence of the old puncher days was the substantial foot ings of the banks They found a beau tiful city of substance paved streets so modern and up to the minute that all automobiles must be parked in the center of the pavement substantial and modern business buildings blocks of them palatial homes bord ering beautiful boulevards the most pretentiousElks home in the state and the most hospitable people there are in any city in all the west Every visitor who went to the con vention came away with the impres sion that a

i mu il i East Side By P D Certainly seems that in the Cow Palace last week there was a lot of Bull i On March If 19561 ran what has since been dubbed The Jackass Page On May 17th because of requests for additional copies of the page I ran it a second time Today for the same reason as of May 17th I am running it for the third time both press runs of March 15tn and May 17th being exhausted The exact number cf states from which requests have come fcr the page I dont know having not kept up with them but my guess is around forty At any rate I am indeed sorry to inflict the page again on my regular subscribers but it is my hope they will understand you know anything to make a dollar 1000 Reward for anyone proving any connection between me personally or this paper and any organization whatso ever with the exception of the Methodist Church to which I was at one time a member True I dont have a thousand bucks but I can of fer it safely because there is no connection no subsidy no affiliation
