Covers Maryland, eastern Virginia, Delmarva Peninsula, and southeastern Pennsylvania. Relief shown by hachures. Also shows shipping routes in Chesapeake Bay. "Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1881 by G.W. & C.B. Colton & Co. in the Office of the Librarian of Congress in Washington." Hand col. in red to show Southern Maryland R.R. and in blue to show connecting lines and shipping routes. LC copy imperfect: Fold-lined, rubber-stamped, annotated in pencil, missing sections at sheet corners. Includes text and statistical data.
