jP Pioneer Voice of the Community Established in 1913 Volume ThirtyTwo No 36 VFW DIST 5 FIRST ENCAMPMENT SUNDAY Dr H J Huene Montana Dept Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars was in Wolf Point September 23 to organize the Northeastern District of Montana The new District consists of eight posts and three auxiliaries The following District officers Were installed by Kirk Beede De partment Vice Commander of Glasgow District Commander Sanford Mahlum Wolf Point District Vice Commander C P Fulkerson Plentywood District Junior Vice Command er Rodger Ulrich Malta District Chaplain M H Mc Kinzie Reserve District Quartermaster Harry Skrivans Wolf Point Margaret Green Department Chief of Staff was in charge of the Ladies Auxiliary meeting The floor work was exemplified by the officers of the Poplar Aux iliary Mabel Iverson of Poplar was in stalled as District President and Phoebe Johnston of Wolf Point as District Secretary The Gold Star Mothers were introduced and presented with corsages After the meetings a banquet was held at the Parish Hall at which Kirk Beede was Toastmast er The welcoming address was given by Mayor Feda of Wolf Point and an interesting talk was delivered by Department Com mander Dr

Official Proceedings Of The County Board Adjourned Regular Board Meeting December 28th 1926 The board met at 10 SO a m with all members present The board spent the forenoon discussing county business At 12 p m the hoard recessed to meet at 130 p m At 130 p m the board resumed Motion made by Weinrich seconded by Leeson that Wm Powers of Rainville be appointed as agent to represent the county in trying to get Senate bill No 4825 and amendments r substitution passed by Congress All members voting Aye Motion made by Leeson seconded by Weinrich that the county superintendent of schools be granted thirty days leave of absence from the state after January 1st 192V Motion made by Leeson seconded by Weinrich to approve of the security bonds of Behlan Bros ferry men at Culbertson Montana amount of 200000 Motion made by Leeson to allow Mrs Hannah Carter of Froid 500 per month additional aid until May 1st Seconded by Weinrich The clerk read the proceedings of Nov 15th Dec 678 Motion made and seconded to approve of the proceedings as read by the clerk Motion made and seconded to recess until 1030 a m Dec
