GREAT FALLS DAILY TRIBUNE IV M BOLE Editor O S WARDEN Manager EDITOR fAL PACE LEONARD G DIEHL Business Manager BUTTE AND AGRICULTURE The Butte Miner steps out upon broad ground and gives Farmer B K Wheeler formerly at torney atlaw of Butte full credit for capturing bag and baggage the recent Nonpartisan con vention in Great Falls The Miner marvels that a lawyer should be able to cultivate the farmers who have baen preaching strenuously that the legal fraternity should be kept out of public of fice The newspaper over the range then pro ceeds to claim that Wheeler and Dunn have made Butte the agricultural center of Montana and it sees the fertile lands that encompass Butte bursting into plenteous production like unto the valley of the Nile The Tribune is not inclined to question the privilege of The Miner to praise the general ship of one of the Butte lawyers who is report ed to have said that he would run on any old platform under the sun if the Nonpartisans de sired to tie their tag into his buttonhole but we do think that The Miner is going too fast on this agricultural stuff The claim
