Muriel Rahn Hits Back At Miss Governor FW YORKMuriel Rahn W ero concert singer who snends not of her time touring the south ern states in the course of her work as an artist appealed to ev ery member of her race to take cut an additional membership in the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People this week Miss Rahn stated that although she is already a member of the organization she was motivated to ohl her efforts in its behalf by the statement of Governor Fielding Wright of Mississippi who called upon the people of his state to resist the efforts of the NAACP to the fullest extent of our resources The statement which appeared in the New York Times May 28 in an article by John N Popham Times Corre spondent quoted the Governor as being opposed to Federal cases which sought to abolish segrega tion in public schools Any fainninded person under the sun who has seen the in equities of separate hut equal ed ucation in Mississippi and other southern states as 1 have would know that such a system never has and nevei will work said Miss Rahn There are millions more who
