Map depicts rail lines, roads, cities and towns, state and county boundaries, and rivers. 1863 edition published by Willis. P. Hazard is listed as Civil War Maps entry no. 44. Geography and Map Division also has an uncolored issue with annotations made by the Topographer, U. S. Post Office Department. Another uncolored copy, in covers, is in the Samuel P. Heintzelman papers, Manuscript Division, LC, container no. 11. Cover title: Map of the southern states. Map is in 29 parts, 16 x 12 cm. Description derived from published bibliography.
